It would be so nice if participating in CrossFit training in Las Vegas was all that you needed to do to get into shape and lose weight. Unfortunately, exercising alone isn’t enough. Getting the healthy, leaner body that you’ve always wanted is within your reach, but it will require a lot more than just heading to your local CrossFit gym. You will also need to change your lifestyle, starting with your diet. If you have been involved in the CrossFit community for any length of time then you have probably heard all about the Paleo diet. The Paleo diet comes with so many benefits, including a reduction in seasonal allergies, fat, and even acne, but making the transition can be tough. The following list of tips will help!:
- Take it one step at a time- Going cold turkey definitely won’t work for everyone, and there is no shame in taking it slow. Try making one meal a day Paleo. If you start with lunch, keep breakfast and dinner the same. Once you get used to eating Paleo for lunch, make another meal Paleo.
- Make a plan- Being successful with Paleo, any diet really, involves careful planning. Prepare your meals ahead of time, have plenty of healthy snacks around, and make a food schedule. It is all too easy to go eat out somewhere when you don’t already have a meal prepared.
- Find delicious substitutes- The Paleo diet isn’t about sacrificing the things you love, it is about finding a better alternative to fall in love with. Rather than eating ice cream, freeze bananas and throw them in the food processor. It has the same consistency of ice cream, but with no added sugar or fat! Rather than eating chips, grab some nuts!
