Hello CF2S athletes! I wanted to give everyone a heads up that we are looking for five more Ragnar runners! The Ragnar training will start Monday June 29th and will go to the end of October. I am suggesting for all athletes to get 5-9 miles a week till the training starts! As the summer months are here let us remember to stay hydrated. If your wondering how much water to drink a good rule of thumb is take half of your body weight and that is how many ounces of water you should be drinking, in water not juices or sports drinks! This is a good start but with you doing CrossFit & the extremely hot conditions you should be drinking at least 25% more! Remember you guys are CrossFit athletes so don’t use the summer heat as an excuse why you can’t put out the intensity in your everyday workouts, because what’s going to happen when the winter months come and it get’s to cold? I am always reminded by God that if I am comfortable I am not growing spiritually, there is no difference physically! So now is the time to take these summer months as a challenge to increase you fitness capacity and get comfortable with the uncomfortable. One thing I do know is that you will not be alone, just look around the box and you will find CF2S athletes working extremely hard this summer trying to move one step closer to their year end goal!
We have some bitter sweat news to announce to our members! We will be losing a great coach of ours Cort Payne who will be moving to Fort Worth, Texas at the end of this week! If you have a chance tomorrow or Friday, I encourage you to go up to him and wish him the best! We will be doing a tribute wod for Cort tomorrow & Thursday evening it is one of his favorite wods and listed as one of his goals on the goal board:)
